Antiques Of Republic
'55 Bank & The Pop Shop

___

We bought a mildly old (1955) bank building;
formerly
The First National Bank of Negaunne
[Republic Branch]
on June the 7th, 2004
&
opened just in time for
Republic's main annual celebration
--July 3rd's Ethnic Days.

The Victor Safe & Lock Company vault itself
is worth a peek
--as testified by the glow Lois & her older sister Packy show above.

___

We take great pics of you inside or in front of the vault;
  eMail as a reminder of your vacation.
                       [We promise never to initiate e-Mail again;  a one time thing]

Oh, about the vault!!
  On Wednesday, April 20th, 2005
                               Virgie of St. Vinnys,
the former bank manager, told us that
the vault
is originally from
The Negaunne State Bank
which crashed during The Depression.

  1910-1917,
or so.
